Overview

Blue Financial Services Limited (Blue or the Group) is a leading micro-finance institution (MFI) in 12 African countries. The Group offers ethical and innovative financial services to formally employed, but underbanked and underserved employees. Blue is listed on the JSE Limited AltX in South Africa and the Botswana Stock Exchange.

What is an MFI?

Standard and Poor’s identified the following two primary characteristics unique to a micro-finance institution:

• A financial organisation whose primary business is providing loans and financial services to low-income and financially underserved clients.
• A financial organisation with a double bottom-line goal of achieving a defined social mission and financial viability.
